REGISTERED EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR (Toddler, Preschool Program) - Regular
Mino Mikan ES Early Learning Centre: New centre opening: Ideal position start time between Aug 24 - Aug 31, 2026
Hours of Work: The hours of work rotate through fluid shift rotations from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. This is a Union exempt position in a program that runs 12 months per year.
Overview
Under the direction of the Manager of Early Learning, the Early Childhood Educator (Infant, Toddler and Preschool Program) provides high quality and effective play-based education to support enhanced learning and cognitive, emotional and social development in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act; CCEYA and the policies established by the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. Using a strong working knowledge and application of How Does Learning Happen, Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years as well as the College of ECEs Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice that is integrated to their daily practice. The Early Childhood Educator also provides a safe and caring environment for the needs of infant, toddler and preschool children.
Qualifications
These skills would normally be acquired through completion of a two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent. Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators is required. A minimum of one (1) year of related experience is required. Valid First Aid certification/CPR is required.
Salary Expectations
Union Exempt Level 4A: $46,815 - $61,214
